Social Dev Story is the spiritual sequel to Kairosoft's brilliant masterpiece 'Game Dev Story,' a title from which it borrows its simple gameplay and to which it dares to give greater depth and complexity while retaining its characteristic fast pace.
The premise of Social Dev Story is the same as the original title: you're the creative director of a video game company for mobile devices, and your mission is to create a game attractive enough to get a billion downloads. To do so, you'll have to take charge of each and every aspect of the office: from hiring more and more efficient workers to choosing the launching platform, the company policy, and the structure of the game itself.
The main difference between Social Dev Story and its predecessor is the enormous amount of options it offers to its players when creating new games. These include combining two genres, as well as other customization options regarding the graphics, the monetization system, or the amount of support the game gets from the developer once it's released, among many others.
Although on paper it may seem like Social Dev Story is too complex, this couldn't be further from the truth, since only 10 minutes of gameplay are enough to master all the essential controls to enjoy this addictive and challenging pixelated title to the fullest.
